This touching story can melt even an icy heart. In the center of the plot is a wonderful father, a lonely man and his little daughter Ova.
Memo is an intellectual disabled person, but this feature does not prevent him from taking care of his beloved baby. She really likes a bright backpack in a shop window. And Memo, having accumulated the necessary amount for such a long-awaited daughter’s gift, goes shopping.
But he will be disappointed – the only commissar bought for his daughter by the police commissioner. Men quarrel. And this minor incident will change the lives of Memo and Ova forever. Some time later, an accident occurs with the daughter of the commissioner.
The girl, slipping on the ice, dies. Trying to help, Memo becomes the only witness, and then accused of abduction, attempted rape and murder of a child. He is placed in cell No. 7 for repeat offenders. And according to prison laws, a person with such accusations cannot survive.
But experienced cellmates quickly realize that the naive and unsophisticated Memo is not capable of crime. After the fire in the prison, Memo is also supported by the overseer he saved, allowing him to see Ov daily. New friends are trying to help justify Memo. But that same commissioner of police by all means prevents this.
A tragic story incredibly changes the lives of all its participants. And after many years, Ova’s lawyer will gather them again in the courtroom.
