The shooting dates for the Fantastic Beasts 3 have been a waited for a long time: it was initially assumed that work on the film would begin in the summer of 2019, then they were postponed to autumn, but then nothing happened. As a result, a rumor spread over the network that the continuation of the story of Newt Salamander (Andy Redmayne) will be shot in the spring of 2020.
And the other day, Callum Turner, who played Newt’s brother, Theseus Salamander, in an interview with Yahoo Movies UK with confidence said that work on the film will begin to boil at the end of February. By the way, this coincides with the information that Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) previously shared.
“True, Callum did not give a satisfactory answer to the question of what the audience should expect from the new part of the franchise. I have no idea,” he admitted, and later said that he had not even seen the script.
Presumably, the shooting of the third “Fantastic Beasts” was postponed due to the gigantic scale of production. According to rumors, the actors will work in Rio de Janeiro, as well as spend a lot of time in Hogwarts. Another reason for the delay is considered to be an unprepared script – after the sequel came out somewhat disappointing, Joan Rowling firmly took up work on the next film and, apparently, has not yet brought the script to mind.
Currently, the premiere of “Fantastic Beasts 3” is still planned for November 12, 2021. And if the shooting really begins in the next couple of weeks, new details about the film will not be long in coming.
