According to sources WeGotThisCovered, the hero of the original “Home Alone” Kevin McCullister will appear in the new version of the Christmas comedy.
According to insiders, the picture will be a continuation / restart of the franchise, and matured Kevin will head his own security company, which works in the house of the new hero, Max (Archie Yates).
Sources say that Disney is now looking for an actor to play the role of an adult Kevin, but in the end can invite Macaulay Culkin, who played Kevin in two films by Chris Columbus.
It is worth noting that the information provided, despite assurances of the reliability of the sources, is currently only a rumor, which in the future can be refuted.
The plot details of the new “Home Alone” are not disclosed. It is only known that Max will be in a similar position as Kevin, and will be forced to defend his house from an attack by unknown people.
Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney will play the parents of the hero Yeats. Dan Mather occupies the director’s chair of the picture.
“Home Alone” was released in 1990 and instantly became incredibly popular (US fees totaled $ 285 million with a budget of $ 18 million), making Calkin a star overnight. Subsequently, several sequels were released.
The restart of the comedy became known in August 2019. Disney CEO Bob Iger also noted that after the takeover of Fox, the studio will re-shoot Night at the Museum, Wholesale Cheaper and The Wimp Diary.
